Born in Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, Italy, in 1988, after a background in music and Classics she starts in 2007 a degree program in Interlingual Communication and Mediation at the Università degli Studi di Udine, majoring translation into/from English and Spanish. In 2009 she moves to Milan, where she attends the John Kaverdash Photo Academy, and in 2010 she begins to take an iconographic interest in hunting, influenced above all by a great passion for mythology, legends and tales.
Since 2011 she has been working as a freelance photojournalist for several national hunting and nature magazines.
With the series Caccia alla Volpe (Fox Hunt), developed in 2012 between the Italian regions of Emilia-Romagna and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, her photographic project focused on hunting begins to take on anthropological connotations – that are added to the psychological features with which in the first of the series, Ars Venatoria, she attempted to represent the primordial nature and hunting instinct of the human being – and becomes a way to look at different types of hunting as real lifestyles of the people by whom they are practiced. The work deepens with the series Caccia alla Renna (Reindeer Hunt), Caccia all’Alce (Elk Hunt) and Caccia alla Balena (Whale Hunt), developed in different regions of Norway between 2013 and 2014, and the series Caccia col Falco (Hunt with Hawks), developed in the Abu Dhabi desert between 2014 and 2016.
In 2017 – after winning, with the documentary Uccellatori per Tradizione (Bird Hunters by Tradition), a contest for young producers promoted by the Sky Italia TV platform, and after attending a workshop in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy – she signs a contract with Sky Caccia 235 channel to create, shoot and edit the series of four documentaries Storie di Caccia (Hunting Tales), with the aim of promoting and enhancing the ancient hunting traditions in Northern Italy.
